Footprinting is a natural addition to our strong environmental and business support portfolio, which includes the Furniture Industry Sustainability Programme (FISP), Club Green, lean processes, supply chain management, sustainable timber purchasing and environmental management (ISO 14001).
The Footprinter software has been created using a model devised by Best Foot Forward (BFF), a leading light in the development of carbon and ecological accounting. Best Foot Forward has received the Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development and has worked on footprint projects with organisations such as GlaxoSmithCline, the NHS, Virgin Trains and the rock band, Radiohead. BFF already has a presence in the furniture sector having worked closely with Herman Miller and Orangebox.
